Minister Meet: Recently the Immigration Minister Kenney has met the prospective employers at Saskatoon, especially to strengthen their relationship with them. According to him there should be cordial understanding between both the sides, so that they can work together for the betterment of the country. The immigration minister is also of view that employers should work hand in hand with the government and should assist the immigration programs for their successful implementation. Further the immigration minister states that the government is working on to establish and maintain better and more flexible economic immigration system. Such system will be turned to serve beneficial not only for the economic growth of the country but also the personal growth of the immigrants entering the country. Development Strategy: The development plans initiated in partnership with employers will help them bring the much needed talent to country. For this the immigration system is working with an idea to support employers, they are further looking into the challenges employers are facing, kind of workforce required, the best possible hiring and recruiting processes and the immigration plans related to it. The authorities of Citizenship and Immigration Canada are also exploring ideas and thoughts shared by the employers for the improvement of the plan. Need for the collaboration: According to the Kenny, the economic growth and creating job opportunities is the main criteria’s for the government, which could not be achieved until and unless the business people and government are working together for it. Recently noticed labour shortages are also an issue and should be dealt in an effective manner. In case no Canadian is able to maintain a job position the employer should look for prospective foreign worker. For this the government is making it easier for the employers to hire foreign employees on temporary and permanent basis. The government is also working to make the immigration system more practical and easy rather than more cumbersome and lengthy. The government has also initiated plans catering to the needs of the employers like processing federal skilled worker applications by dealing it on regular and priority basis. The authorities have also upgraded various websites that would guide employers and employees about the government plans and its successful implementation.
